Getting to the trailhead was easy from Cashmere with a very short section on dirt road. We went 6 miles up the trail before turning around due to time limits. There were about 10 large downed trees that we had to clamber over and some stream crossings that resulted in wet feet. We had the trail to ourselves except the first mile where we saw a motorcyclist otherwise they don’t appear to be going far in due to all the obstacles. The trail itself follows the river and has a gradual, runnable incline most of the way. There were some small sections of wildflowers blooming and we felt like we got out in the wilderness. I probably wouldn’t choose to do it again when the motorcycles come and we can get into the alpine areas.
